2024-11-30 Azure Icon Pack for Inkscape
Helping the community to get their Azure Icon’s in Inkscape
Summary:
- I curated several file sets of Azure/Microsoft icons for use with Inkscape

Background:
- Inkscape is a modern open source vector image tool available on Linux
- Custom Icon sets can be imported into the tool but they default to rasterized Bitmaps
- Vector icons are possible, but you need to manually manipulate the vector icon pack yourself
Thinks I learned:
- xml.etree.elementTree is a bit uninituitive to select the tags.
- lxml.etree is much nicer and fixes the namespace issues, which cause a lot of tag selector confusion.
- Inkscape’s connector tools are pretty basic - links to go the centre of the symbol/icon.
